Get your skates on at our covered ice rink on Victoria Square this Christmas, sponsored by the University of Bolton. So whether you are a regular on the ice or have never tried it before, come and have a great family day out on our fantastic ice rink. If you’re more of a land lover then you can still join in the fun watching your friends and family make pirouettes or epic falls!
All abilities are welcome and there are sessions to suit everyone with the numbers of skaters on the ice managed to ensure that everyone can enjoy themselves in a safe environment. For general public skating the ice rink can hold up to 180 people per session but the Penguin Club (parent and child sessions) are limited to 120 people with a maximum of 2 children per adult. We also offer special school sessions, where just 40 skaters plus a maximum of five school teachers can have a fun time.
*Lockers are non-refundable
Rink block group booking £450
(please contact us if you are interested in booking the whole rink for your group – there are limited slots available).
Wheelchair users are also welcome to take to the ice during open public sessions or closed chair only sessions with helpers (please advise at time of booking).
Our popular Penguin Club also makes a welcome return each weekend of the festival, offering parent and child ice skating sessions. Aimed at parents and guardians of children aged 8 years and under, Penguin Club offers a safe and fun environment for you and your little ones to enjoy an ‘ice’ time together! And, at just £3.50 per person it’s fantastic value too!
Some sessions are reserved for block bookings so please check availability in advance.
To avoid disappointment we suggest you prebook your skating tickets.
Please note there will be school only sessions each week day between 4th and 20th December (ask at your school for details).
